We are currently seeking an After-Hours/Weekend “Extended Care Assistant” to help us maintain our high-quality care services around the clock.

As our After-Hours/Weekend Extended Care Assistant staff, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our agency during non-standard working hours. You will be responsible for performing various clerical duties to support our team of healthcare professionals. This role is ideal for those who are seeking part-time or full-time employment and are available during the evening, night, and weekend hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist patients and visitors who may require assistance during after-hours or on weekends.
• Answer incoming phone calls and direct them to the appropriate staff members.
• Maintain and update patient clinical records and documentation.
• Assist with scheduling and coordination of patient visits and staff assignments.
• Prepare and distribute necessary reports and documents.
• Manage general office tasks such as filing, data entry, and photocopying.
• Ensure the confidentiality and security of all patient information.
• Collaborate with the on-call nursing, support staff, and the On-Call Administrator to address urgent patient needs.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous clerical experience in the healthcare field experience preferred.
• Effective communication and people skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
• Ability to work independently and make quick, effective decisions.
• Compassionate and patient-focused attitude.
• Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in high-pressure situations.
