Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Heartstrings Mental Health. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals struggling with various mental health challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate clients’ needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions using evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
- Collaborate with clients to set achievable goals and monitor progress throughout the treatment process.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals and community resources to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
- Stay informed about current developments in the field of mental health and participate in ongoing professional development activities.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPC, LCSW, or equivalent) in the state of Kentucky.
- Experience providing therapy to individuals across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, and adults is preferred but new grads are encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build therapeutic alliances with clients.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and cultural competence in working with diverse populations.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
