Top Adventure Towns: What are the best outdoor meccas in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast?

Blue Ridge Outdoors Magazine announces 100 finalists in four categories for its TENTH annual Top Adventure Towns Contest, brought to you by River Expeditions.

London, KY has been selected as a nominee in the 10th Annual Blue Ridge Outdoors Top Adventure Towns contest, in the Small Town Category.

The Mid-Atlantic and Southeast boast many towns with vibrant outdoor scenes and access to world-class adventure. In August and September our readers will select their favorites to ultimately crown the region’s best towns for outdoor adventure.

The Blue Ridge Outdoors team narrowed the field to 100 contenders for the tenth annual Top Adventure Towns Contest, brought to you by River Expeditions They are mountain biking meccas, whitewater oases, climbing paradises, hiking nirvanas, booming craft beer epicenters, and live music hubs.

Starting August 7th, readers will select the top outdoor town in four categories: large town (population 75,001+), medium town (population 16,001 – 75,000), small town (population 3,001 – 16,000), and tiny town (population less than 3,000).

The four winning towns will be featured in the November issue of Blue Ridge Outdoors Magazine.

“Outdoor adventure is the lifeblood of this region, boosting economic opportunities and enabling healthier lifestyles in towns across the Blue Ridge,” says editor-in-chief Jedd Ferris. “We’re hoping that our readers will once again rally around their favorite outdoor towns and help us showcase the region’s best destinations for adventure and accompanying culture.”
