Cumberland Valley Domestic Violence Services, Inc., seeks qualified and interested persons to fill the following position:

 CLIENT SUPPORT ADVOCATE

LONDON, KENTUCKY

Saturday – Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.

Non-exempt position

Provides support and emergency services to victims of domestic violence and their eligible dependents; monitors shelter activities including residential children and adult support groups; advocacy and referrals; accepts new residents; maintains security at the shelter and monitors the 24 hour crisis line and the business line.  Daily interaction with adult and child residents for intake/exit procedures, completing all necessary forms; provide emotional support and assistance for both children and adults; facilitates residential life-skills education; and treats each individual with dignity and respect.  Practice safety in all aspects of job, including monitoring medications, maintaining security, conducting vehicle checks, etc.; and adheres to program standards regarding communicable diseases and bloodborne pathogens.,  Provides crisis intervention for residential and non-residential participants ensuring confidentiality of residents and staff, contacting law enforcement agencies,  and making appropriate referrals to community agencies.  Exhibits a level of professional conduct  and appearance that reflects the quality of care and services provided by this program; maintains healthy community living environment with particular attention to security and confidentiality, holds regular house meetings; assists with gearing the program to the needs of the individuals by demonstrating concern for their socio-economical background.  Provides accurate and detailed documentation to include statistical data, phone logs, in-kind donations, implements the program under the direction of the Immediate supervisor and in accordance with Program Description and Standards and CVDVS Policies and Procedures and KCADV Victim Service Standards; functions as part of the program team.

MUST HAVE VALID KENTUCKY DRIVER’S LICENSE.  Resumes will be accepted until  April 30, 2023.
