Deanna Herrmann Wins Professional of the Year at 2020 KCCE Excellence Awards
London, KY (Sept. 30, 2020) – London – Laurel County Chamber of Commerce CEO, Deanna Herrmann, was honored with the prestigious Professional of the Year award during the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Executives (KCCE) Annual Excellence Awards on Wednesday. The event, held via Zoom due to COVID-19 concerns, recognizes chambers of commerce, volunteers, and chamber executives from across the Commonwealth for excellence in a variety of categories. The Professional of the Year award is the KCCE’s highest honor. The London – Laurel County Chamber also won awards for Outstanding Website and Outstanding Social Media in their category, making it the second consecutive year the organization has been recognized for it’s online efforts.
“Thank you so much to KCCE and the Kentucky Chamber whom have mentored me for the past 10 years and many thanks to the London-Laurel County Chamber Board for your belief in me and our vision,” Herrmann said. ” I am overwhelmed with this award. To know I was selected from several wonderful deserving candidates is beyond words. Many thanks to my wonderful family and especially to God!”
During the award presentation, KCCE Executive Director Amy Cloud shared a quote from a nomination letter written by London – Laurel County Chamber of Commerce board member Winston Griffin.
“Deanna has helped successfully guide and grow the chamber in her position as CEO. She has launched many new initiatives. She has truly become a trustee of London – Laurel County. She has forged excellent working relationships with business leaders and elected officials. She brings honest enthusiasm to everything she approaches,” the letter read.
