Job Opportunity: Fairgrounds Director

Technical Staffing Solutions is partnering with the London Tourism & Parks Commission to find the perfect candidate for the Fairgrounds Director role!

Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:

1. Team Leadership: Can you give an example of leading a team and collaborating with stakeholders in a facility or event role?
2. Marketing Expertise: What marketing strategies have you used to promote an event, facility, or destination? What tools did you use?
3. Problem-Solving: Describe a challenge in event coordination or facility management and how you resolved it.
4. Attention to Detail: Share an example where your attention to detail improved an event or marketing effort.
5. Flexibility & Availability: This role requires flexible hours and travel. How have you managed a similar schedule before?
6. Development: Do you have a good example of taking a successful idea from concept to completion?

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Parks and Recreation, or a related field (or equivalent experience) preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years in facility management, event coordination, marketing, or other work related to tourism, recreation, or travel.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Proven ability to lead and manage teams.
• Proficiency in marketing tools, social media management, and graphic design software is a plus.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by events or projects. Occasional overnight travel will be required.
