Ladies of Vision Year In Review
In January of 2020 Ladies of Vision kicked off the year with a goal setting session hosted by Billie Swanner from Fourward Progress. The session included four practical steps which guided participants through refection, resetting, reinforcing and rising up to meet their goals. After the meeting, the ladies were given an opportunity to mingle and network, we had great representation with a lot of new businesses being represented. It was a great meeting to jump start the year.
In March Susannah Zawko Daniels, owner of Elevate Fitness Studio, presented a great session regarding building a brand. The Ladies of Vision team love Susannah’s story of how she became an entrepreneur and created a brand for women, by women. She walked the participants through a guided workbook and activities to help them discover their target audience and the importance of getting clear on your mission and vision as a company. It was a great discussion around self and business discovery. We truly appreciate Susannah’s time and effort regarding her presentation. We look forward to watching Susannah’s company and brand continue to grow throughout 2021.
In May Becky Arce and Billie Swanner, Fourward Progress Solutions, hosted a Virtual lunch and learn regarding 10 ways to stay motivated during Covid. This session was a response to a new way of life we were living and how to navigate through the season with motivation and purpose. We discuss ten ways to stay motivated including: Remembering your why; Exercise; Doing something you enjoy; Reaching out to a friend and Thinking of something you are grateful for. We had a great session and our participants shared a lot of their great ideas as well.
In November, we were finally able to meet in person again and had a great session regarding Tax Preparation by Donnie Cox from Abner and Cox. Donnie guided us through a presentation and gave us valuable information as entrepreneurs and business owners. We had a lot of good questions and received some tactical tips to use while navigating the tax process and Covid government requirements. We truly appreciate the information Donnie provided, it was both timely and extremely valuable.
And finally, beginning in October, we started our first ever 90 Day Challenge. The challenge began the first week in October and will carry the ladies all through the end of 2020. The challenges have included making time for self-care; goal setting; gratitude; taking time to rest and the importance of habits. It’s been a great experience to keep everyone motivated and carry them into 2021 with excitement and purpose.
Ladies of Vision will resume in person meetings beginning January 12, 2021 and will meet every other month throughout 2021. We encourage you to join us and network, fellowship and just spend time with like-minded women. We hope you have a fantastic end to 2020.
