Make A Difference In A Student’s Life
The London-Laurel County Chamber of Commerce along with the Laurel County School System has been teaching a Work Ethic Seal Program for all Laurel County High School students for the past five years. This program has been very successful, with many students graduating from the program.
Once again the Chamber of Commerce, being the voice of the business community, is answering the call for more students to be work ready upon entering the workforce. The Work Ethic Seal Program curriculum is provided through Junior Achievement of the Bluegrass. This curriculum is designed for volunteers in the community to teach students during regular class times. Several local business leaders have taught various classes through Junior Achievement and all have said it was easy to follow and they enjoyed their time with the students.
Will you please take the time to consider teaching our local high school students some valuable life lessons and give instruction to our future leaders? We have an informative training and question session set for Friday, September 10th at 9:30 am at the G.C. Garland Building (behind London Elementary School). Please come join us and see how YOU can Make a Difference in a Student’s Life!
Please let us know if you are interested in helping teach our future leaders and work force. You can email kim@londonlaurelchamber.com or call the Chamber office at 606-864-4789.
