The Greater Kentucky and Southern Indiana Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association provides service and education to 125 counties across greater Kentucky and southern Indiana. Over 5 million Americans are living with the disease and more than 90,000 of them reside in our service territory. Services provided include education programs for persons with dementia, caregivers, professionals and the general community as well as support groups and a 24/7 Helpline. Further, the Chapter advocates at the state and national level of government for research and support services on behalf of the people of Kentucky who suffer from Alzheimer's disease.

CASA of Clay-Knox-Laurel Counties is a non-profit that has been established to assist the court system with neglected children. The program is governed by a board of directors who oversees an executive director. The director will work on recruiting volunteers and maintaining daily functions of the program. Volunteers receive extensive training and then are appointed by the court to advocate for the best interest of children who have come to the Clay, Laurel and Knox court system as a result of dependency, abuse, or neglect.
Come-Unity Cooperative Care is a nonprofit Christian organization providing basic need services to low-income Laurel County residents.

Founded in 1956, God's Pantry Food Bank's mission is to reduce hunger in Kentucky through community cooperation making the best possible use of all available resources. We collect and distribute food to agencies across central and eastern Kentucky.

Wayne Riley founded the African American Heritage Center in London, KY in 2004 with the mission of preserving the traditions and legacy of the African American community.
As CEO and Director of Laurel County African American Heritage Center Inc., he has coordinated one oral history project, several youth summer programs, and twelve community-wide celebrations of Dr. Martin Luther King’s birthday, all of which have included speakers, music, a parade and a dinner.
The Laurel Co. D&I Council is a chapter of the Nonprofit organization, Unity Allies. The purpose is to educate, promote, and help implement diversity and inclusion in everyday lives. The goal is to create a “beloved community” where everyone can respect each other’s differences, and help educate the uneducated, help the less fortunate, and bring the community together as a whole.
2020 will mark the 85th year of existence for the Homecoming. It is our desire to carry on the founding mission of this event. We want to salute our Laurel County heritage by bringing center stage our local talent, food, beauty and culture.
